Youth ages 6 to 10, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, years are eligible.

Requirements are: choose six categories from the fifteen listed;

Fruit: apples, plums, grapes-green, grapes-purple, plums, pears.

Flowers: pansies, sweet peas, marigolds-dwarf, daisies, petunias.

Vegetables: beans-green, beets-globe, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes.

The youth may mix or match the categories if they wish.

The contestant, in his or her garden or on the family farm, must grow the products, chosen.

The categories entered must each consist of four items the same variety.

Write a short paragraph describing what you have learned from growing and caring for your own garden and send it with your entry form. Prize money will be given, 1st - $50; 2nd- $45; 3rd- $35; 4th-$25, in all age groups. The remaining entrants will receive a participating money prize.
