15th Annual English and Western Horse show September 24, 25, and 26th 2010.
BC Heritage qualifier
The weather was variable, Friday was cloudy, Saturday was a beautiful fall day warm and sunny and although Sunday started with light rain, the sun soon returned. While entries were slightly down this year, having fun was high on the agenda and the quality of riding was excellent. This show could not happen without the small army of volunteers that assist during the three days of the horse show, so heres to the volunteers, the competitors and our judge Alastair Buchanan of Abbotsford. Thanks all of you. Thanks also to Country Roads General Store, Fruitvale for their continued support of the show and for supplying the high point prizes. Country Roads and Kootenay Liquidators in cooperation with Otter Coop, supplied gift certificates for bags of horse feed and as a result ten lucky competitors walked away with these as prizes.

High Point results:
The highest scoring dressage test was performed by Annika McGivern riding Gitanna, who also won Senior high point dressage, Aspen Jefferson was high point Youth on Basil and Mikayla VanAsperen was high point Junior on Daisy. English Day on Saturday included flat, hunter and jumper classes. Overall high point English was Cassaundra VanAsperen, Cassaundra also won high point Youth on CW Red Vixon, Mikayla VanAsperen won high point Junior on Daisy and Deb Creaser won high point Senior on Thunders Echo. On Sunday, Western day, Pam Malekow won both Overall high point and Senior high point with Tejonas Gold Sierra, while Savannah Miller won Youth on Teeka and Hunter Weishaupt won high point Junior on Wayne.
