Judging Criteria
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Neatness of article, clean and well pressed
- Design is suitable to the material and kind of garment - Colour is pleasing
and appropriate - Trimming
is suitable to the garment.
Material: The material is a good
choice for the article - The quality is suitable for the purpose.
Workmanship: The
cutting is accurate - The stitching is straight with well adjusted tension and
suitable length of stitches - Seams are even in width and suitable to the material
- The hems, bindings, and facings are smooth and lie flat - The seams are finished
hems, etc. are properly and neatly done - No knots in threads and no ends of
threads should show.

N1 Co-ordinated outfit- Ladies 2 piece top with pants or skirt
N2 Night wear - child or adults
N3 An article made from a worn garment
N4 Sewn article, not mentioned - non wearable.
N5 Home accessory -ie: oven mitts, placemats cushion cover.
BC Fairs category # 1 - first place will be entered at BC fairs annual meeting.
Class BCF Quilt Block:
Size minimum 12"x 24" Must be hand quilted, not framed and no embellishments, ie buttons, appliques, etc.
Theme: Agriculture, ie Roosters, cows, barns, fruit, vegetables, tractors etc.

Spinners please bring a sample skein of hand spun yarn, any fibre or combination of same, to be used as a display. Please label with type of fibre and your name.
