Judging Criteria
Rules and Regulations
01 - All exhibitors entered must submit entries that are made using sponsor's products.
02 - A product label as proof of purchase and a recipe must accompany each entry - Put the label and recipe in an envelope with your name on it and fasten it to your entry form.
03 - All entries will be judged on display, appearance, texture, and creativity of recipe and presentation. No commercial fillings. Judges decision will be final.
04 - All first place winners will be asked to sign a release form and have a photo taken when the exhibit is picked up. This gives the sponsor permission to use the winners name, recipe and photo in any advertising or publicity without payment.

GENERAL APPEARANCE; TEXTURE; TENDERNESS; COLOUR; FLAVOUR; TASTE AND ODOUR:
Entries must comply with number asked for. Baking to be placed in zip lock type
plastic bags, except iced cakes. (No see through wrap). Pies to be made the day
before the fair. No prepared mixes to be used. One entry per class. All baking
must be of simple, high quality.

Judging Criteria
Vegetables & Fruit - Appearance – original shape, natural colour free from cloudiness. Pack – the sizes of food uniform , contents does not float, cleanliness of containers.
Jams - Appearance - the colour to be characteristic of fruits, Texture – no separation of fruit and juice. Flavour – natural flavour of fruit. Clean canning sealers new lids and metal rings with no rust. Seal tight no paraffin. Jelly - Appearance, natural colour, clarity, clear and sparkling. Flavour - natural flavour of fruit. Container – proper canning sealers with metal lids and rings. Seal - tight seal, no paraffin.
Pickles and relish - Appearance-uniform of colour no cloudiness of liquid. Texture - Crisp no excess shrivelling or hollowness. All fruits and vegetables of relish should be finely chopped. Flavour and odour - no one flavour too pronounced, a pleasant blend. Container - clean home canning sealers, rings clean and free of rust new metal snap lids, secure seals.
